On 27 and 28 October 2026, we attended the eFTI4EU & eFTI4ALL European conference at Tour Séquoia in Paris, which brought together representatives of European institutions, public authorities and transport professionals to discuss the digital transformation of the sector.
On this occasion, our Managing Director, Thomas Capocci, took part in discussions with the participants to share our perspective and operational experience as a freight forwarder.
Our discussions focused in particular on the opportunities offered by eFTI (Electronic Freight Transport Information), the challenges businesses face in adopting it, and the conditions needed to integrate it into existing systems and processes.

Anticipating Changes in Our Industry
The development of eFTI and the electronic consignment note (eCMR) marks an important step in modernising information exchange across European transport.
At SYCTA, we believe these changes must deliver tangible results: simpler operations, more reliable and traceable information, better interoperability between stakeholders, and stronger overall supply chain performance.

Turning European Initiatives into Operational Solutions
We are also translating this commitment into practical initiatives. Together with several of our clients, we are currently preparing a pilot project to assess how these new digital standards can be integrated into our transport processes.
This approach will help us identify technical and organisational challenges, measure operational benefits, and contribute to implementation methods that reflect market realities.
We also aim to contribute to wider industry dialogue by sharing our experience with other freight forwarders and partners across our ecosystem.

Our Vision: Actively Contributing to Tomorrow’s Logistics
We are convinced that freight forwarders have a central role to play in this transformation, connecting shippers, carriers, technology partners and authorities.
Our ambition is not simply to adapt to these changes, but to help implement them through pragmatic, innovative approaches that create value for our customers and the wider supply chain.
At SYCTA, we pursue this commitment with one conviction: innovation must above all support operational performance and service quality.
